Curious about the Future of One to One Segmentation using Social Media?

If, so check out this fun armature video posted to the Jim Beam site.

A friend of mine submitted a video and asked me to go to the site to vote for it.  Pretty clever and low cost viral campaign. Get others to shoot the videos, then drive their friends to the site, and get them to watch 10 more ads before voting.

Only problem I think is the fact that they make you register. oh well.

Tom - good find and post! I think you will definitely start to see more and more companies utilizing social media and other “web 2.0″ type sources for profiling. However, aren’t we already doing this in part currently? Coming from working at a popular facility in Dallas, we had our respondent profiles, and for every projet we have specific screening criteria that would put each qualified respondent into “segments.”

I definitely see a switch and SM enhancing this process. I know at Spych we are working on similar concepts allowing for specific, non-aged based segmentation models, and I have heard of other companies doing the same.

I am really interested in seeing who is the first to take it one step further, and what that step will be…

    Thanks again!
