Looking forward to tonight’s episode of MadMen. Wondering what you would have looked like as a Madison Avenue Executive in 1960? Use this MadMen widget to find out.
Below is what I would probably have looked like:
Pretty clever SNS marketing. I’ve been seeing more and more of them used on Facebook as profile avatars. You can use the image you create as your Twitter, Facebook or even LinkedIn
Icon (if they’ll allow you).
Enjoy

Honestly, I really thought Mad Men would get more play in the marketing community before now. It’s a great show and here it is the third season and we are just starting to see this type of activity. Thanks for passing along. Great fun.

There’s a lot of talk about how period accurate it is. Would be nice if they went into some more detail on the actual/real campaigns/clients of the time.
Heard today on NPR for instance that “Socialized Healthcare” was a term created by a PR agency hired by the AMA in the 40’s to make government healthcare sound communist.
So much good marketing/advertising history to get into from the 60’s. Should spend less time on some of the other stuff. Just my opinion, but I’m relatively new to the show.
