Welcome back from Labor Day Weekend. This morning I’m writing to get some feedback. Within the next few weeks I’d like to conduct a brief survey among members of the Next Gen Market Research (NGMR) group. I’ve seen similar surveys conducted by a collaboration of various market research firms and/or organizations. However, I do think the NGMR group on LinkedIn is the single best source for gaining information from knowledgeable and engaged experts in the research field.
What I thought might make this study more interesting is that hopefully, since all of us are experts in research, and are so curious by nature, that fellow members could suggest some of the content/questions in this survey.
Please feel free to post any questions you would like to see included. You may also send them directly to me via email or LI message should you prefer. While I can’t promise that we will be able to use all the questions in this initial survey, I’m sure we will be doing more than one, so we will keep all suggestions on hand for future use a swell.
I would like to keep the survey relatively broad, but other than that any suggestions are welcome.

Will analytics need to move to Real Time as the web search moves to Real Time Web?
And will more tools be needed to look adapting marketing messages or volume based on the amount of buzz it generates in the social space?

I would be interested in hearing about:
The state of research budgets for the rest of the year and expectations for 2010.
% of research budget being spent on qual vs. quant, online vs. offline, social media vs. traditional, etc. and expectation for 2010
Thanks! I am looking forward to it.
