I had back to back conferences the past two weeks. Spoke on the importance of Transparency in Offshoring Market Research at the Conference on Quality at The Market Research Event (TMRE), and then on Marketing Research and Social Media at ESOMAR Online. It was also a pleasure to moderate the panel discussion between Sean Bruich of Facebook and Dan Shapero of LinkedIn.
Many attendees had asked me about the mini presentation I gave on social media at ESOMAR, so I am posting it here. Please feel free to use with clients etc. as long as you attribute the source.
Also, I will be posting the content from my panel discussion with LinkedIn and Facebook here on the blog as soon as I get the media file from ESOMAR.
I enjoyed both conferences immensely. I would say I liked the weather at Red Rock Las Vegas better than Chicago. Also, TMRE had some very impressive key note speakers from Ram Charan to Martin Lindstrom (whom I will soon be interviewing on the blog).
However, though ESOMAR Online was somewhat smaller, I really do love ESOMAR conferences. It’s the international group that make the difference. Perhaps its partially due to traveling so much further to get there, and also the relatively tight knit community, but everyone seems so much more into networking at ESOMAR events, at least in my opinion.
It was also wonderful to meet everyone at the TweetUp at the Lux Bar in Chicago. I had a great time and can’t believe we had such a great show (probably around 40 of us)! Please keep in touch.
