Looking forward to giving one of the ending talks at the Sentiment Analysis Symposium tomorrow afternoon at 4:00. There’s still time to register for the event if you are in New York/Tri-State area.
I’ll try to focus my talk on sentiment in text analytics and how sentiment can be more than just positive, negative and/or neutral.
Lately Anderson Analytics has been asked to not only provide analysis and coding, but also review, make suggestions and decisions on which types of text analytics engines clients purchase and implement. Often we see a disconnect in understanding between the software vendors and the market researchers who hope to use the technology.
Hopefully my talk tomorrow will encourage discussion in this area. I look forward to meeting Seth Grimes and others in the Text mining field at tomorrow’s event.
Here is a link to the event and an overview of tomorrow’s talk simply titles “Voice of the Market“.

Sentiment Analysis Symposium was more intimate/fun than Text Analytics Summit. Big Congrats to Seth Grimes! I really enjoyed meeting everyone
