The Future of Next Gen Market Research (Predictive Analytics)

Not talking about theology here but predictive analytics. Reading KDNuggets today came across this link to Wired with a few Youtube videos from Microsoft. Posted one below on how Microsoft knows where you’re going, maybe even before you do.

Not to be outdone though, Facebook wants to get in the prediction game as well. Not about where you’re driving, but what you might like when visiting a website. Hoping to create “the one (social) graph to rule them all”, Mark Zuckenberg and former FriendFeed CEO Bret Taylor (now with Facebook) at the F8 Developer Conference talked about how Open Graph, Social Plugins and Graph API allow any website to pull any and all public info about you from other websites across the net, when you visit a web page even if you have never been there before. This would allow marketers to serve up unique pages for you.
