Model Questions ROI of Paid Tweets

April 15th, 2010 · 5 Comments

An article in AdAge yesterday references a recent model by a Yahoo Scientist who questions ROI of Kim Kardashian’s sponsored Tweets. Apparently they cost $10k/each.
A bit much I admit, but to simply dismiss it as poor digital marketing ROI may be a mistake.
I believe, as with all social media, the equation is value = quantity x [...]

After Twitter, Video – ChatRoulette

March 6th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Will we be “Veeting” instead of “Tweeting” soon?
Last week after becoming the first market researcher to hit the 50,000 follower mark on Twitter, I’ve decided to take a bit of a break. Will still tweet, but it’s time to see what else is new in social media.
One of the trends I see coming is greater [...]

@TomHCAnderson Back on Twitter Tweeting about Anderson Analytics, #MarketResearch and #MR

February 5th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Miss us? - We’re back!
Glad Twitter turned my account @TomHCAnderson and Anderson Analytics’ account @InfoaAdvantage back on today. Unfortunately they deleted a few thousand of my followers, but easy come easy go.

I got a few questions yesterday, so thought I would elaborate briefly on the last post about Twitter and why I Tweet. I said [...]

Reward for Being the Top Market Researcher on Twitter

February 3rd, 2010 · 9 Comments

My views on using Twitter for marketing and market research
I wasn’t going to blog about this, but I’ve started getting a few pings via Facebook, LinkedIn and email wondering why I’m missing from Twitter all of a sudden. As is the case for many ‘power users’ of various social networks, the reward for encouraging use [...]

From iPod to iPad

January 27th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Priced to compete with Kindles & Netbooks the iPad launched today. Apple stock seems to be down a bit, but probably more due to investors taking profit. Kind of scary that the first feature mentioned is “ability to change background” (oh wow). But I am curious about “best browsing experience ever”.

I love my iPhone and [...]

Research Radio Launches Tomorrow!
During the past two weeks one of the most popular discussion threads within the Next Gen Market Research (NGMR) group on LinkedIn was entitled “TV Show About Market Research?“. NGMR members were discussing what a television show about marketing research might look like. Would it be a sitcom, a reality show, a [...]

From BAQMaR to NGMR - The Future of Professional Organizations

January 13th, 2010 · 7 Comments

Social media and the spirit of social media is changing everything around us.
