Text Analytics Awareness, Opportunity and ROI

Text Analytics News Interviews

Text Analytics News just published another interview, this one with myself, IBM’s Craig Rhinehart, Diane Burley of MarkLogic and Kurtis Williams of Mindshare Technologies. I thought the questions were rather interesting, and our perspectives surprisingly similar in many ways.

While awareness of text analytics is now extremely high, I think we as an industry definitely need to do a better job connecting with our customers and giving them what they want and need. You can read the interview at the Text Analytics Summit website (Link via image above).

Great interview Tom - I agree with you that Text Analytics is catching up with good awareness, but the real thing is to apply it in business from where the enterprise can see the real benefit and ROI. The bottom line is, What is it for me? The answer lies within each market’s needs and requirement to discover and analyse.

    Tom,
Ramy makes a great point. It seems a great deal of analysis is still done in a siloed fashion especially social media analytics. Unifying social and enterprise data and correlating these insights with other more traditional metrics can help provide organizations with a more comprehensive view of their customers and market.

It’s definitely interesting times and as mobile adoption continues to grow so will data and the need to make sense of it all.

    Thanks for sharing!
