As of this morning I am pleased to announce that Next Gen Market Research is among the very first marketing research related groups to go “open”. What does that mean exactly? Well with just about 9,864 members (we’ll break the 10K mark first week of 2011), only good things.
- Market Researchers will have an easier time finding interesting past discussions as they will be Indexed by Google
- Sharing links to discussions etc. on your blog or across other Social Networks like Facebook and Twitter will now be easy
- We will still keep membership select so that only qualified market researchers will be able to post.
Don’t worry. All existing discussions will be stored away in a read-only Archive accessible only to NGMR members. Also all of our 16 subgroups will remain members only.
I look forward to even greater discussion and networking among my fellow market research professionals!

Good work on the open NGMR linked in group, closed forums and their useless urls are a pet peeve of mine

I think this is a very excellent move! This will make the group easier to find online and therefor it will have more involvement and ideas!
